Born. The Etihad is a prime example of how it can be done. Not my cup of tea personally, but MUCH better as a football ground than our abomination. It's because it was all sorted that it would be used for athletics but then used for football, so the plans were nice and simple.

Ours is a prime example of how it SHOULDN'T be done. It's shocking for a Premier League team to have as a home ground.

not taking the Magic Bag then?

So do I buster but I can't understand the absolute hatred for the place. Some things are worse, some things are better. Does it really feel like home yet? Not really but after going UP for 35 years it was never going to.

After a few years, some improved results and some changes in the way the club are running the place we won't look back. I'm quite positive about the place Eben with the current shit position on the pitch.

Only when I'm in the same block as you, Gavvy.

Thankfully the kids are with me on Saturday so I'll be upper.

I go to support the team, doesn't mean I have to enjoy the surroundings. Plenty of away grounds I hate, but I'll still go to support the 11 on the field.

That ok with you?

Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
I think the East is an excellent stand and I'm just hoping they can find a way of getting the whole stand closer as the corners are a good distance. I'm sure the easiest fix is behind the goals getting it closer and filling the gap between tiers a lot better, but as said my seat is decent anyway. The West stand is a mess and could do with starting that again.

Thanks Gav but I don't do sloppy seconds 😁

Worst decision ever to move to this stadium. The only option to propell us up with the best, yeah right!

Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
They could make it look less shit of they had the electronic advertising boards around the screens, and between the upper and lower tiers, it's just concrete. All that would make the gaps look less shit tbf.

Nah, let's Nick the Arsenal idea and list some trophy's.

IT LOOKS HALF FINISHED

Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
what really fucking annoys me is how theyve positioned the advertising boards. they were much better positioned and seemed to reduce the gap last year

I'm not actually. Some of the things that bother even the most ardent OSer doesn't bother me.

The green fuzzy felt for example, couldn't really give a shit about that.

Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
There are lots of foreign stadiums where the seats behind the goal are quite far back.

Problem with ours, is the huge gaps from the sides as well.
Physios seem to take forever to run on the pitch.

I think I'll hang about with you once he fucks off.

Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
I'm just can't see why you'd bother Buster If you hate the place that much. Johnson would probably agree he's the most vocal on here for absolutely hating everything about the place, if something pisses you off that much why put yourself through having to look at it every other week.

Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
Don't get me wrong there are things that could be better, I don't like the gaps between the tiers or the popcorn stands. And some of the cunts that go clearly ain't West Ham but from the BML the faces seem the same and views are comparable. The beer is also very easy to get so I can't see why everything has to be so negative.

It would have been so much better if the team had decided to turn up though.

Johnson 11:04 Tue Sep 27
Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
I have a great view Bom, not miles away like you, standing, easy for a drink.

It's the lack of soul and some of the cunts in there that bother me but both of them will sort themselves in time as one comes and the others go.

Doesn't mean I can't think the rest of the stadium is not fit for football mind.

Tomshardware 11:02 Tue Sep 27
Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
Fair enough Johnson, I don't think it's as bad as some are making out but I agree that the board didn't not invest enough into putting in retractable seating.

Bom Stickle 11:02 Tue Sep 27
Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
Don't fucking go then. As I said my seat is fine and I can't really notice any difference from UP but you'll just keep moaning about absolutely everything, if they offered you Katy Perry to suck you off at half time you'd probably complain her tits were too big..

Things will be improved further but for the time being i'll just support the team. I've supported them from the back of the terraces behind the running track at Stamford Bridge and up in the gods at Newcastle and not had a problem.
